About Dru Nelson

Dru Nelson is a Birmingham, Alabama, native that has spent her entire life on the water. Dru is the definition of a true vagabond having spent time across the country and the globe today, she now focuses on selling homes and property on Jordan Lake and Lake Mitchell in Alabama and has been a member of the Coosa River community for over 25 years and has extensive knowledge about both lakes both by land and water.

Dru’s most treasured memory is the summer her Mom and Dad taught her how to ski. Today, she still enjoys boating, kayaking, jet skiing, or dragging people around on skis and inner tubes. She never forgot those lessons but is now usually the captain.

Dru began her real estate career in Colorado in 1990. Having spent time rehabilitating homes with her brother and owning a hardware store, she thought a transition into real estate made perfect sense.

When it comes to real estate, Dru prides herself in her customer service and treating her clients with integrity. She listens intently to them and always puts them first, and even helps clients after the sale. She also loves meeting new people and making new friends while she’s doing business and sharing her love of the lake lifestyle with her clients.

When she’s not selling houses, Dru is usually out on the lake. She loves spending as much time with her daughter as she can, and before the day gets busy, you can find her listening to the Kingfishers.
